Work on the side

Bits on the side, ideas, visiting old projects etc:

It was my dad's 50th fancy dress party, i went as an Umpa Lumpa and my friend as Red Riding Hood. When i saw this photo I had an idea of turning Fairy Tale princesses into rivals.

Here's the result:
I was thinking about doing these with a few of the other characters from Disney films and Fairy Tales.

Going back to a project from college I wanted to continue the project on my campervan art work. Using different pictures and features from my friends in various photos i came up with this:

After this I felt like people weren't going to see it's potential so via computer I quickly put it on a campervan:
.........Then realised that the wind is actually flowing through her hair the wrong way........... but you get my drift!

I took a photo of my friend and 'Andy Warhol'd' it up a bit!

Someone asked me to design them a tattoo........... of a zombie penguin! Here's my quick skecth

This is what the tattoo turned out like, a few alterations from the tattoo artist but it feels amazing knowing that someone has my art work on their arm!

Visiting another college project which i've been wanting to get back into for a while is the playing cards. I came up with 'Kiss' playing cards:

Because our projects were only a few weeks long i couldn't produce a full set. Being a massive fan of kiss since i was a kid i really wanted to make a full pack.

I had the idea that i wanted, i just needed to put them in illustrator and work my magic on them:

Joker

I only had time to do ideas for Gene Simmons. I don't want the cards to be too distracting, so i think i may do two different packs of cards, a more intense piece of art, like to the left and also a pack which is simpler, like the original.

Four members of kiss and four suits, perfect! I'm going to use the four symbols of kiss and use them for the suits.

Wanting to specialise in motion graphics i want to do and learn as much as i can during these 4 months. Both my cousins are really interested in this area too so together we're going to try and produce a film. Hugely influenced by Smith and Foulkes' 'The Chase' we want to try and create something like this, using the local towns and woods we want to use modern technology and as many resources as we can. No money will be put into this which, to me makes it more excited and more 'raw'.
